Harlow Theatre Company

 

Harlow Theatre Company was established in 1978. Originally the company performed in the Harlow Playhouse but since 1995 it has been based at the Victoria Hall in Old Harlow. The membership includes people of all ages and walks of life, but the common factor is the love of theatre. We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and there's always a warm welcome for our new members.

The Company usually stages between 5-6 productions a year, including a Christmas show. These productions include drama, comedies, poetry, music, Shakespeare and one-act plays. We also perform plays by local writers. The Committee chooses productions that will encourage the best range of ages and types of actors to participate, as well as provide high-quality theatre locally. Members are welcome to submit ideas and suggestions for future productions.

The Harlow Theatre Company is based at Victoria Hall, Bury Road, Old Harlow. The theatre can seat up to 100 people, including wheelchair users. It has a licensed bar, dressing rooms and a lighting / sound box. This venue is full of charm and character which adds to many of our productions. "
