Harlow Christmas Lights Switch On 2011Harlow Christmas Lights Switch On 2011 will take place on Saturday 12th November 2011 in the town centre and admission is free.

However, unlike most other towns, there will be not one, not two, but three different Christmas Lights Switch On's in Harlow in 2011, and as they are all in the vicinity of the town centre, spectators & shoppers will easily be able to attend all three if they wish.

The first of the Harlow Christmas Lights Switch On events in 2011 will be taking place at the Harvey Shopping Centre between 3.00pm & 3.30pm. The second event will be at Harlow Water Gardens between 3.30pm & 4.00pm and the third and final switch on between 4.00-5.00pm at Stone Cross Market/ Broad Walk.

At each venue, there will be entertainment for all the family including a number of different acts, street performers and a variety of special guests making an appearance. Top of the list will be the big man himself, Father Christmas, who will of course be the main centre of attraction along with his reindeers and the ‘Gliding Angels'. If that isn't enough, there will also be a Funfair in East Gate.

Last years event in 2010, in conjunction with Harlow's Christmas Cracker, was a huge success and thousands of people attended to see the towns lights officially switched on for the festive period. Whilst this years event appears to be on a much smaller scale, it is expected to also be popular and a fun afternoon/ evening out for all the family.


Harlow Christmas Lights 2011 Switch On Times

Saturday 12th November 2011

Harvey Shopping Centre - 3:00pm - 3:30pm
The Water Gardens - 3:30pm - 4:00pm
Stone Cross Market / Broad Walk - 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Please note that the lights will be switched on after the acts have finished there performance so you will have time to make your way from one event to the next.
